Having lived in the area for many years, we recently bought Whitecroft Farm from a couple who had lived here for forty years, running it as a working farm for much of that time. While creating a family home for ourselves, we have added the facilities to provide comfortable and relaxing accommodation for a small number of guests.
We are proud to have used a local builder and various local crafts people to add a large extension and sympathetically modernise the exisiting house, enabling us to move in shortly before Christmas 2008.
Aiming to provide guests with a breakfast which is locally sourced, we now offer fresh eggs from our own chickens, Miranda, Mel, Jenny and Kate! We're hoping to add to the brood soon so that guests can always enjoy some homemade cake with afternoon tea.
As well as the hens, we are rearing Gloucester Old Spot pigs, and look forward to providing guests with our very own sausages and bacon.
Last summer provided a bumper harvest of plums and apples, so lots of lovely homemade jam and chutney is on offer to all who visit.
